That wouldn't be a problem, we seem to have a surplus this year, they're everywhere, and I am the local snake catcher for my area...folks who are afraid of them call me, I remove them and take them to snake friendlier places.

Parts rig is going in the garage, I have been busting my butt to get enough space cleared out in there so I can just push it in...no steering wheel so it's gotta be a perfectly straight shot!

If so, then here is what the website for the Town of Apple Valley code enforcement say on the subject matter.

"...Can I have inoperative vehicles on my lot?

One inoperative vehicle is allowed in the rear yard provided it is completely screened from public view by using approved screening material. Otherwise, an inoperative vehicle must be housed in a garage, repaired, or removed from the property...."

Also review "Item 9" of Exhibit A under Amnesty Issues... in the below link... referenced as the Golden Triangle Amnesty Program

The above seems to set a precedent for you.
I live in an unincorporated area of San Bernardino County, far from the Apple Valley, CA town limits...I do not live in any city or town, so unfortunately (and fortunately) those ordinances don't apply to me. Those of us living out here are OUT of the sphere of influence of Apple Valley, CA and we want to KEEP it that way, the less government, the better IMHO...and in the opinions of most county residents in this area. County ordinance is the law out here...silly me, after being out here for more than ten years, I thought that having ONE parts rig would be OK...I now know who ratted me out...life is gonna suck for them. We DON'T do those things out here.

Annie- you could have just dug the trench a little deeper to deal with the scoundrel, then parked the rig on top as a headstone. The rest of the neighbors would either applaud or get the not-so-subtle message

That's worked in my home state before. But, I'm not condoning anything.

Wonder how they would respond to a Jeep Fest?
Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental.

Yep, we have those everywhere! That's the God's truth!

A Jeepfest...hmmm...seeing as I live very, very close to Johnson Valley, the area slated for a land grab by 29 Palms...
