Take the o ring off the end of the ford line, install the dodge o ring and it plugs directly into the dodge slave cylinder. All for about 100 bucks......three hundred cheaper than the Dodge setup!
what do you mean clutch pedal setup for the hydroboost? do you have any pictures of the clutch pedal and of the MC installed on the firewall?

          pedals

I bought a set of gm manual -pedals from a hydroboost truck. Ill get some pics up, may take a few days between work and me driving to where the truck is.

All that is left to do is get the pedals adjusted and lines bled. Run battery/alt cables. Put hose clamps on the fuel lines and start cranking. Im hesitant about putting the interior together until the bugs are gone.

Jeepmj tj......my buddys family has a place on Keowee.....When we head down for trips this summer Ill let ya know in case we want to drool over our trucks

As for why the 4bt and what it is. The 4B is just like the 6B minus two cylinders.

One is the overall legnth of the 6B. It puts the rear valve cover and injection lines way back there and would probably involve partially taking the motor out for some basic service. Also running an air to air aftercooler and taurus electric fans so length was critical.

Two is fuel mileage. Most people are reporting about 25-30 miles per gallon versus 17ish for the 6b. My 4B has the coveted P7100 injection pump, not the rotary. Nothing wrong with the rotary.

From the factory, my 4b was spec'd at 350 ft lbs at 1300 rpm. I have a larger turbo, put the air to air and turned the fuel fuel up one revolution. I should be at 425-450 tq now. I also had a 3200 governor spring kit installed to get the rpms up if I am towing a load and need to keep i the power band.

            And for gearing. The axles are 4.10, NV4500 5.6 to one first, Dana 300 2.6, Np 205 1.96 for a grand total of...........................119to 1
Finally a 4BT conversion where someone uses an aftercooler!!! Are you using a factory aftercooler from a Dodge or f*rd application, or something else or custom? Are you using the stock fuel plate? If you are you might try contacting TST and see if they have tried any plates on a 4BT.

              aftercooler

The aftercooler is from a Chevy P30 van. It required trimming about 3/4" of the header panel and dropped in like it was made for it.

Ill probably leave the fuel plate as is......trying to keep fuel milage somewhat respectable. I do have a friend that grinds 4B fuel plates if the bug hits me.

Are you saying you bought a new NV4500 that has been fixed? Because originally, both the GM and Dodge NV4500 had fifth gear problems.

Correct, bought a new case......no 5th gear nut problem. Chevy also put the shifter up a little closer to the firewall so this gave some extra floor room which I need for two more shifters

hey tndonor, thats a really nice truck. What color is the paint? Is that the gunmetal pearl used on the TJ's and Xj's? Thats the color I was thinking of using on my J20.

Hows the vibration? I'm pondering doing either a 4bt swap or a supercharged 231 Buick swap.

Yes the paint in gunmetal....code pq7. I saw a sample at the paint store and my decisions were over.

Ill be happy to let anywone know in the SC area know of my visits down there. Id love to see what everyone else has.

Vibration...... Im not roadworthy yet. HOWEVER....there is some vibes on startup and shutdown. I rode in an early bronco and it was not noticable compared to a healthy V8. There are many fctors there....isolation mounts....weight of the vehicle. I am heavy enough, it is a not an issue. I am also using a 4B that is internally balanced, with fluid isolation mounts, with a hefty weight.
