if you want to make the rain gutter trim black
you could use solid vinyl striping ( like a pin stripe )
available in gloss, satin and matte

or
you could apply directly to painted gutter trim

or for a diff look apply to existing aluminum/stainless gutter trim
if it is already on vehicle.

or on top of the chromed plastic trim too
depending on the look you want.

Thank you. I was originally thinking wider would be better (so as to fold the top/bottom edges around the metal) - but I'll take your word for the 11mm size.

pasta man, i sent a private message with this same explanation
but just in case,.....

you must be thinking of plain chrome vinyl striping tape

i used actual moulding or trim
that you peel off the 3m 2 sided tape liner
then apply.

it is a rigid plastic that has a plastic chrome finish

similar to the door edge moulding you see in rolls

this is the same but is intended for sticking to a surface, not an edge
you stick it on and then peel off the clear protective film
it will last for years, and is easy and cheap to replace.

Why use trim at all? Just paint the gutter black.

There's that gap between the windshield and roof.
