I assume that's not right? Steering

For Christmas, I got a cool new endoscope that works with my cell phone for looking around in hard to reach places. As I was trying it out, I noticed this from the steering linkage system.

    I assume that's not right?

You think this may be why my steering feels sloppy when I turn to the right? (turning left feels fine)
Anyone know the part number? What would you call that, the steering shaft?

Don't about on a FSJ but if you're referring to the bulge in the flange? The pre formed bulge looks normal to me.

That's great news. I had never noticed the bulge in the flange before so I feel a lot better. I was worried that wasn't correct.

        Thanks!

Is the rubber torn on your rag joint?

What that bulge and the pins in those slots are for is if your rag joint failed it would make contact so you still had steering. they do nothing otherwise.
