Question on Converting to Muscle Grill

I swapped out my Pig Nose grill to a Muscle Grill. It looks great except there now is a rather large gap between the top of the grill and the front edge of the hood. Is this normal? Is there a difference between the hoods for those years or am I missing something?

Mine has the gap too after I did the same swap. Not sure about any differences in hoods. Here I am next to a factory muscle grilled J and he has the same gap I do if not a little more it may seem.

Cool, thanks for the response. I thought maybe I was missing a part or needed a different hood.
