    CHEAP Brake Shoes

Restoring a 52 Willys Overland 4X4 Pickup I bought used in 1968. It's a body off Restoration of a almost rust free Texas Truck.
Youngest Son Chad is doing the resto in his restoration shop. He tells me what he needs next and I shop for the part or parts locally or online.
Asked for new brake shoes yesterday. So I go shopping shoes online . Got a price of $60 per wheel from CA. Found them locally for $80 a wheel at most local auto parts stores
While online I could see where I could order new 11 inch shoes from NAPA. Got a price at noon today at our nearest NAPA Store. Are you sitting down?. Can you believe this. $10.75 a wheel exchange. I will have them Tuesday.
It pays to shop around. NAPA Part # was TS 53

        Amen!
In fact. If the cores are good and correct, save them. There's still some places you can get them relined. Rochester Brake and Clutch, and Porterfield are two if no one is closer.

Too many times now the aftermarket 'consolidates' or cross list shoe frames (metal part of the lining) ands sometimes its OK and other times its not.
Generally the frame designation number stamped on the metal. Its a trade industry number so recognized by all brake manufacturers.
