Flexplate shims - Chevy diesel and AMC TH400

I'm in the middle of a 6.2 diesel swap and need help figuring out flexplate shims. Since the block will have an adapter plate (~1/4" thick) to mount to the AMC bellhousing, I'd assume that I need to shim the flexplate. Any idea how much shim I'll need?
