My new $200 79 wag passed emissions. And low!
HC 68 out of 220
CO .01 out of 2.00
What a joke!
So, my neighbor went to look at a car for his daughter 6 months ago. Guy had this Waggy sitting in the yard for 8-9 years and tried to sell it to him. He knew I like wags, (3 in the yard - 2 running and legal. Told him it had the Doge 360 in it ( I knew right then I could get it cheap)
He told me about it and I called him up. Said he wanted $200 for it. We went and looked at it. Complete and %100 unmolested. Even had the original factory clamps on the fuel lines, carb and canister and power steering!
Paint is good. Almost no rust. Interior in great shape. His kid ripped out the factory CB/AM/FM and messed up the dash. Couple minor dents.
So I bought it. I put in new radiator, water pump, cat and muffler, new vacuum hoses, water hoses and fuel line, low pressure power steering hose, cap rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs, tranny fluid, oil and filter.
Waxed it. Tuned it up and drove it.
Other things I added that I had from my old 79 I'm stripping were 2 barrel Holley, 4 inch spring lift, 32 inch tires, shocks.
I'm happy with it.
Now to take it off road and do some damage!
Ready for Ouray!

Sorry, can't do pics. On dial-up where I live and can't do photobucket. I'll ry some other way.
That wasn't the best emissions results I have gotten though. On my other '79 I got zero's for both results last year. Amazing what new cat's will do.

I would like to see a picture too. I would like to be able to see as many arizona member rigs as possible so that when I can get out of this bed and get out and about I might see a rig I recognize and come over and say "Hi". Currently I live my life thru you guys. Hope you understand.

Hey there Ralph ... CONGRATS on your low buck score and the cherry smog report!
Do you have a cell with camera on it? Most of them will allow you to send pics to an email addy. If you dont have one maybe your daughter might? Worth a shot anywho.
