new to fsj

hey guys i am new fsj owner.. ill give ya the skinny on my truck, i found my j20 from a guy that didnt have time for his project .. i asked how much he said 4 bills.... i said sold, sight unseen, i go to his house and he says hasnt run in years so i hook up the battery and fuel lines and fire it up and drive her home.. cab all unbolted.. no floors.. so i had the idea to use its axles for my zj crawler.... dana 44 and dana 60 sounds nice in a zj.. but i sat on my steps and got to lookin at her... two days later my zj went to the scrap yard and this is what i start with

so heres some photos tad wanted and a little of the build up.. so far
back half is lifted and cab still just sitting there...

rb shackle flip

soa kit in front shot

big tires on 38.5x15

i got tons more pictures, but ill save them for a legit5 build thread.. anyways 5.28 or 5.29 gears 360 mated to a torqueflyte 727.. more to come

It's not so much that Tad wanted pics, but rather that we get pretty harsh on new members not posting pics. He was mainly just saving you from seeing the "this thread is worthless without pics" smilie.

Most of my FSJs have been J-trucks and I'm glad to see another one saved from the scrap pile! Tons of ZJs out there but the J-truck numbers are dwindling, so I say you made the right choice!

Thanks again for sharing the pics and fire away with any questions you have and as always, feel free to post pics of your progress!

Welcome!
Matt

Looks like a good starting point, nice find even if it is missing the brow.

Might want to rearrange your pics though, on a 12" screen things are all over the place since you didn't separate them from your sentences by dropping them down.

Welcome to the land of empty pockets and unfinished projects...

You need to resize your pics. 600x800 is forum rules.

Actually I have never gotten any good LB kit pic's back and was hoping I could revise the install directions.
This one should work:

Thank You off kilter

You might as well use this as a place to ask about your body mounts too.
Looking at the Chero frame out back and something tells me the JTruck configuration and placement is different.

I guess I never realized the spring mounts are moved back on the extended frame for the LWB. (maybe I didn't say that right, whatever) It appears the rise in the frame for the axle may be the same location as the SWB frames. Yes?

You might want to check the diodes on your welder, those welds look kinda fuzzy.

Sorry Tad! I assumed, and we all know where that gets you.
