7.5 x 16LT
The tires are flat spotted after years of storage. Rides like a Fred Flintstone Truck. Looking for a replacement.
Thinking about 265/75R16 D she has 7.5 x 16LT on now (someone know a source for the same??).
Anyone have the specs on the stock 16' wheel? Offset, width?
Sorry for the questions. I search before I ask I just didn't find much info on the 7.5 x16 LT.

There were 2 options with the 16 inch rims.
Standard rim is 5 inches wide, optional HD rim is 6 inches wide.
Personally, I would opt for new rims, as they would be designed for radial tires.
I have no idea as to offset.

235/85-16 is the radial replacement size, and will fit on factory 5.5 or 6 inch rims (will also fit the early 5 inch but you lose carrying capacity). This size basically replaced the old 7.50-16 bias ply as the standard 3/4 ton pickup truck tire. Common to just about everything from the late 70's through mid 90's. The 265/75-16 is now pretty much the standard pickup truck tire. Both are 32 inches tall. You want a 16x8 rim with the 265.

I'm sure many of us don't mind answering any questions that will help preserve your special truck (and camper).

7.50-16's can be had in both highway tread and drive tread from universal vintage tire.
Highway:

Drive:

Want a modern radial everybody stocks including Wal-Mart TLE, go to a 235/85R16 and yes the 265/75R16 will mount on a 16x6 rim just fine
If you got 8 lug wheels i would recommend switching to 225/70R19.5's and never have to change tires again

You can still buy 7.50-16 bias tires new. A lot of companies have stopped making them, but most tire shops can still get them for you.
I bought a new set maybe 4 years ago for my 71. They look much better then 235/85R-16's. They sit taller and skinnier.
Take a look at universal vintage tire and cocker tire.
