I posted on the "Why does everybody gotta hate my Jeep" thread and said something about my jeep never leaving me stranded....ha ha.... I didn't knock on wood

It tried to get me today!

After meeting up with a guy with a new waggy I met near my work, I was cruising home and the motor shut off.

I knew my gas guage was messed up under 1/4 tank, but I just got to 1/4 tank and should have had plenty of fuel.

So I spray some starter fluid in it to see if it would light off....cranked just fine, but no fuego.

Took a look at the coil and found the green wire to the cap broken at the terminal. I had a little extra wire, so I stripped an inch or so back and wrapped the terminal and limped it home.

Got home and took forever soldering it with a cheap-O iron from sears and a long extension cord. She's good now...but I can say I was worried when I was coasting to a stop.

Wife asked me if I would post it for sale again. I just laughed at her.
