Looks like we're gonna be minus one Jeep! The 88' needs a transmission and that will not be finished in time.

Dan, If I can do a full motor/trans swap in 2 days, I think you can find a good trans and hook it up in 5... i have this week end to get it done... then I have to work next week... so im in for a 2 day scramble but it will happen! I guarantee!

If the directions send you up 24-27 into Troy, take N109 out of town. You will come to a small spot on the map just past the entrance (you will see a sign for Uwharrie) to the National Forest, called Eldorado. In that spot there is a gas station (BP???) the only gas station. That is the "Outpost", buy your trail passes for the days you intend to ride and get a trail map there as well. Follow the trail map to the Badin Lake Group Camp. The passes are $5 a day and the trail map is free. If you get the pass ahead of time you can sleep a little longer before the morning trail ride. Trail rides will start at 09:00.
Last year a few of us were still in camp waiting for a certain Cherokee Chief (thatisgreyincolorwithtwokidsintheback) to come back from the Outpost from getting their trail pass.

Not that I want to point any fingers.

We still had fun even though we waited for him!

How about firewood? Do they allow you to cut fallen trees for firewood, just need to know if I need to bring a chainsaw

Ian, I graduated this weekend so I haven't had time to find a transmission. I work next week, therefore I won't have time to swap one in. Oh well!

Would there be a problem with a friend of mine coming down and camping in his Frontier? Or are we trying to keep it FSJ only?
