I just got my 89 GW back from the shop after a tranny rebuild. It shifts from 1st to 2nd at 25 MPH.Had it up to 40MPH but it hasn't shifted to third yet. What are the shift points for a 727?

Much lower than that! Your kickdown linkage is probably improperly adjusted. You can probably take it back to the shop and have them do it right, but the fact that they screwed it up the first time doesn't increase my confidence in them. Check that the linkage is intact and you can adjust it yourself (check the archives for details)
