Ignition Upgrades - TFI/Jacobs

I've read up on the TFI upgrade, it sounds simple and straight-foreward enough.

Would a Jacobs ignition system further improve the ignition? I've used one before, years ago on a '77 FJ-40, and it made a huge difference. What I'm trying to figure out is, what would be the best set up:

1. TFI upgrade alone
2. Jacobs ignition system alone
3. TFI and Jacobs ignition system

Anyone ever try 'em together?

I've never tried the two together but I have done the TFI upgrade only and I have definetly seen improvements in idle smoothness and freeway speed passing power. I'm going to swap out the duracrap module and replace it with a MSD6A eventually.
