New door panels, 20 gauge Aluminized Steel, see ad in HG vendors section

Thinking of pressing out a few of these. based on M715 panels, but customized to FSJ specs. 20 ga Aluminized. Steel, should last a lifetime, paint to your liking or leave shiny. Tell me what you think, will have to sell them for 60 dollars a set plus shipping to make it worth while, and will have to make 25 sets to get the materials break. So Need to know what you think.

Going to mount a couple later on my sons truck and I will add those pics when it get accomplished. I deliberately didnt punch the armrest holes as they are different on the early and late trucks, some may not want or need arm rests.

Wouldnt these rattle on the metal doors over bumps? Unless maybe the person backs them with foam first.

I have a friend who made some out of aluminum diamond plate and he put little rubber spacers between the panel and the door on each screw and they neve rattled. Just a thought.

good question, I attached a set of thinner ones (29 gauge, would be more prone to rattling) to my sons truck with self tapping screws around the edge (bottom and sides). The top is held on by the moulding. I also put the plastic bushings back on underneath the handles, no rattle. I put about 8 screws per side, although that is probably over kill.

if enough interest, I can have some made for the back doors as well. M715 is a possibility too.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet. But these are only for manual window doors. Power windows require a rectangular cutout for the switches.

Another advantage to these is the ability to "mount" a nice speaker in the door.

Just cut out the hole, in the right spot, and the speaker would drop right in.

I also like the option of attempting to re-cover with my current vinyl and cloth...It is the backing that is water damaged and they would last a lifetime.

I'd take a set of fronts for the cherokee -

I could use some of those. Mine are thin plywood painted black, lol. Don't think I could justify spending the money right now, but they sure look sweet! You know, I have a sheet of light gauge aluminum diamond plate lying around the garage somewhere and a drill press, hmmm...
