High beam indicator is erratic

Alright, so I'm driving to my girlfriend's house and I flip on the high beams on my '89 GW. To my surprise, the blue indicator light above the speedometer comes on. This makes me pretty happy, as it hasn't worked in the past. Anyway, I get to her house and turn off the Wag. When I leave a few minutes later, the indicator light does not work. The high beams work just fine though. Any ideas on where to look when it comes to fixing this? I know it isn't a big deal, but little stuff like that just bothers me.

Check the plastic twist socket that holds the high beam indicator bulb. One of my dash lights acted up like this, and the socket had lost one tab, so it was not making good electrical connection. New socket, all better!
