so i've got a howell tbi i just bolted on and almost have it all hooked up.i have a wire that is suppost to go to the starter sil. but it doesnt say where or what side.anyone know? i was thinking it went on the sarter side but want to be sure before i hook up.thanks

I dont know about the howell, but I think its based off the GM TBI systems correct? If so that is probably the starter signal wire. Whereever you hook it to the starter solenoid, make sure its only getting power when the starter motor is enguaged. The ECM gets a signal from that wire letting it know you are trying to start the engine.79 Cherokee Chief 401/T18/D20, MPFI fuel injection, hydroboost, otherwise stock.

I agree ^ I believe that is the crank signal. Needs to know when the enging is cranking so the fuel can be adjusted accordingly. Might retard the timing also, IDK.1986 CJ7, AMC 304/ T-176
