---------------- 1994 Cherokee, the daily driver ... 1976 Wagoneer, 401 complete with original vacuum disaster and electrical nightmare, both of which have been fixed prior to the sale of this rig 1978 Cherokee, " Roadie " recently driven back from Phoenix to Texas ... no trailer involved!
madolin's Buckshot's would of been too easy.
I'll evenually find the size Q Gateway Buckshots........bet on it.
But in the mean time, I need to get some 35"x 10.50 maybe 12 wide and of course the 16.5 for the slots. I wonder about the tires being wide and rubbing the post mount springs, killing the turning radius?
Interco Super Swamper does make the old Denman Ground Hawg, ran a set long ago, directional's.
It's more for dually's, although my be my best option.
The TSL & SSR's & SX and Iroks all seem to be 12.5 to 15.5 wide for either the 35 or 36"
BF Goodrich with the new KM 2 Mud terrains dropped the 16.5 rim.
They do offer all terrains in 35 x 12.5 x 16.5
I run these on my all my daily drivers and consider them a good multipurpose tire, but not a old Gladiator look tire, too modern.
I'm going with the Hellcreek 4"-6" post mount lift. Guess I'll have to lift it and then measure to see if 36" tire's will fit.
Just curious, why do you want 16.5's? Are you going to run H1 wheels or something? Otherwise, 16.5's suck offroad because they dont have a safety bead (a very very very few do, but generally they dont). So if they dont have a beadlock, you cant air down.
BTW: You can get the TSL LTB in a 34x10.50. Wider than the 34x9.50 narrows, but not as wide as the 12.50's. (only in 15 or 16" wheels though)
I really like the looks of the aluminum 5 slot wheels.
Just say FSJ like no other.
Probably should of just had some custom made 8 lug slots in either a 16 or 17" wheel to make tire choices easier.
There is a mickey thompson wheel that looks very much like a 5 slot. They are not made anymore afaik, but I see them for sale sometimes. Brent from BJ's offroad also posted those wheels that he got that look like 5 slots.

I was searching for these tires, and came across this thread. Figured I'd join and post this link just in case anyone is still looking for this tire. You probably don't hear about them too much any more because we have a bunch of pussies driving "trucks" now adays who ***** about noise and vibrations and such. They want good road manners from a tire, and a bias ply with knobby 1" deep treads simply can't deliver that.
Red Mistress, I've got HC 4" springs and really been looking hard at 36" tires as well, instead of my 33's. They'll fit height wise but width is a problem with the post mounts. I picked up this set of 15x10's at the PA jeep show yesterday, I have 7/8" clearance from the tire to the springs with 12.7" wide TSL radials. BS on these wheels is 3.75".
'67 Gladiator, 327 Vigilante, HC 4" springs,
35" BFG, custom bed.
Gateway buckshot mudders im running a set of 33's on my 96 grand cherokee right now they are mounted on ford ranger rims painted black
they can still be purchased at ok tires although they are now 220 a piece
these are flat out the best off road tires you can have the narrow tire with 1 inch tread depth is unbeatable they can be aired down and crawl through anything i have had them on my old broncos my old rangers 2 cjs and a cherokee and now on a grand cherokee
one of the MOST aggressive tires ever made bias ply though so you get flat spots over night the pics colofireman posted were the newer Radial buckshots they were no where near the tire that these bias plys are
i raced mud bogs for 7 yrs this was THE TIRE hands down
