door alignment

    Ive been fighting my doors for years because Ive never gotten them right. IMO, Never-Ever touch the hinge inside the jams They cant be loosened or tightened with the doors closed. Not like other vehicles. GRRR

      What I dided, before removing the doors/hinges from the jambs, was drill a 1/8" hole through the jamb and hinge. I'll use some pins to get it roughly back where it was after painting.

      If I pull the hinges off the doors I'll do the same thing.

            the body shop that painted my 88 wagoner
            drilled holes like you mentioned to get them back in same position.
