    J10 springs into GW

Stripping down a 80 J10 Laredo, and building a 1987 GW. The GW has the usual wag sag, while the J10 sits high and even. What is the stock ride height spec. for the GW and the J10, and will the springs from the J10 fit the GW? Will it give it any lift? Thanks in advance!

Aside from the spring rate they should be the same...

According to the measurement specs I saw, the sizes are correct. I'm assuming the J10 springs will ride harder? The spring rate will affect the ride height, but by how much?

If you had the actual spring rate numbers and the weight of each vehicle, you could probably calculate it out.

I love how arguements end as soon as Ristow comments. Ristow is right...again.

OK. I took a look at the springs on both trucks, the J10 has a 7 leaf pack, the GW has a 5 leaf pack. I cannot find any definitive answers in the searching I've done. The length should be the same, but I've heard the centering pin is spaced differently. Mostly interested in swapping the rear springs only, but may decide to do the fronts as well. Alot of conflictictions out there, someone set me straight. Here's a link I was looking at for specs., but according to this I don't know if they are correct.

Well considering the lift kits for a GW and a J-10 are the same I would assume the stock springs would be interchangeable. I also would assume that the J-10 springs are a heavier spring so that should jack up your rear a little but I doubt by a whole lot.
