I also did the killer dowel pin upgrade this weekend, I didn't take to many pics because there is a million write ups on many forums for the fix. Mine had wiggled almost all the way out it was a good thing I remembered to do it. I will take pictures of the altenator conversion that I am doing next, I got a kit to make the stock dodge alt. internally regulated. More on that in a bit

I'm getting closer to making the final jump to a 6BT over the 4BT and I keep hearing about having to make sheetmetal mods in the engine bay to get the 6BT to fit. What have you noticed with the cab and fenders n such fitting around the 6BT ?

I have takin a lot of measurements and with the 3 inch bodylift it looks like everything will clear but I won't know until the body is actually on the frame. Wish me luck haha, I do own a sawzall and a torch if all else fails I will make it fit.

Which measurements have you doing a 3" body lift?

For the tunnel side to side its ok but the heater probably won't clear but who knows maybe I will get lucky. Worst case scenario I got to get a cab heater. I'm not seeing a problem anywhere else and reading up on the forums were other people did the 6by swaps the heater is in the way and battery tray if u don't modify the air intake which I'm modifying mine to go under the inner fender and through the grill were the light deleted are. Also keep in mind its non intercooled so there won,t be any extra hoses and such.

I had intended to get an in-cab A/C unit with heater so I'm hoping that will eliminate the need of a body lift for me. I'm going to be doing custom battery mounts so that'll eliminate that issue as well. After seeing Zack's intercooler mounted on Project Humpty I decided to go that route myself. A little bit of this, a little bit of that.

no body lift here. the turbo down pipe does interfere with the heater core box and the clearance for an intercooled motor is tight around the master cylinder.

I don't know how much of a.difference it makes bit this is a j10 with a single diaphragm brake booster. The j20 has a bigger boosters.

your intake tube also comes from the other direction since you have the non intercooled engine. I am running a 24v intake horn to clear the master. Backing up a steep hill the motor torques over just enough for it to tap the corner of the master.

Got pics? I plan on dumping the heater box in favor of an in-cab unit and intending on going hydroboost. When you say clearance for an intercooled motor makes it tight around the m/c do you mean a wet system or air to air?
