any of you do Biz on "offer up" ?

been looking, but lots of stuff seems sketchy to me , poor photos or wrong photos, very poor grammar......i did some Biz on craigslist and did Ok, but am uncertain about this site. If you bought something to be shipped far away are you protected?

I've bought a few things locally off it but wouldn't trust someone to ship anything. There is a lot of sketchy stuff and sellers on there, I've even seen sellers list the same item as if it were in multiple states, which seems like a dead giveaway as a scam. Of course I tend to be overly cautious with my money.

I don't think there is any kind of protections in place.

The listings with craptastic iphone pics and one word descriptions ("used") I ignore.
If the seller was serious he would do a better job.
The few things I have purchased were shown and described accurately.
And they have all been local pickups, no shipping. Guitars and cases.
No auto parts. And nothing listed as new. As in shoplifted.

Seemed like a good idea at the time...

I tried offer up for 4 different items. Didn't get a single hit on any of them. I post on Craigslist often and if I am selling something worth the time, I will ask my better half to post it up on FB Marketplace. I used Fleabay rarely because it is SOOOoooo expensive to sell on Fleabay (expect to pay about 20% by the time all is said and done).

I hate offerup, but have had good luck with letgo. Always local and always cash for me.
