Picked up the WT Chero Roy austin had listed in the for sale section, in Bend Oregon on Monday, towed it straight to Moab, and yesterday took it on it's first Moab trail... Havin' some kind of fun now...

    Roy's "tearful goodbye wave"...

Gotta say, I'm glad you got it Steve , noticed the boards were gone,
looks better, but I still think it saved the rockers and flares. I'm
just trying to figure where to put the money on the J10, brakes need
some sorting. Glad to see you're putting it to use. Later

Postin' up dent pics of it's maiden voyage on the trails just wouldn't be right... admittin' to gettin' it dented on it's maiden voyage, on a public forum is just as wrong...

            Roy,
I too am convinced that the running boards saved it from corrosion and stone chipping damages, as the rockers have THE best paint condition on the entire vehicle...

Unfortunately, IMHO they look funky, and too boot I don't believe they would have remained fully intact and attached on the trails anyway . And it's likely, the damages they would have caused while being "trail rearrainged" would NOT have been pretty...

We ran Kane Creek yesterday... but with it's significantly more difficult trail rating, we decided it was the better part of disgression and valor that we leave the Chero behind...At least until it has the planned upgrades...

                  I'm jealous!!!!!
the weather is great and Moab's only 100 miles away!!!!
too many other things to do, though.

I believe the color to be Russet Metallic, think the code is 9C. Steve might have more information. Roy

Nice! How'd it do accross the water crossing on the side nearest Faux Falls? The water didn't look too deep but that rock looked kinda big coming up the hill.

                            Take good care of that'n

To my knowledge, no states list color codes on the titles... But the color code is indeed 9C, and IIRC was called "Russet"... A copper shade with metallic tint.
