    The cold slowing down.......

    How many of you guys slow down during the winter months?
    I hate wrenching in the cold. I have a garage and a heater but getting the gumption up get kinda tough..

    My hats off to you fellas in the snow belt.

    Its tough to work in the cold,but I always seem to get more done.The wifey wont come out and bug me,if its freezing

      can't stand it. The older I get the harder it is to go out there. The problem is that when its warm, all I want to do is go boating.

        When I was home in IL I always seemed to do more wrenching in the winter just because more things seemed to break for some reason. Now that I'm here the middle of hell I still do more wrenching in the winter because wrenching in 120+ degree temps in the summer is brutal to say the least...I'd rather be cold that sweating my juevos off.

            threading bolts in tight places with cold fingers is the worst I can think of.

                Arizona Baby!!!! it was 78 today. of course im a weirdo who enjoys 110 in the summer because i can eat more and sweat it off and it scares off all the snowbirds.

                  Uhg I hate the southwest...especialy here in El Centro were it reaches 120+ regularly...then workin on the flightline with 30+ jet engines running add 10-20 degrees on top of the outside temp youre quite damp by the end of your shift.

                        Shift work in Alaska... I'm about 50 miles north of the Arctic circle on the pipeline.

                            I broke down and bought a 75,000 BTU ceiling heater. I am going to gasfit it and hang it this weekend. The only reason the wife agreed to this, is the laundry is in the garage and the electric heater is a meter spinning toy. Otherwise, I'd be wrenching in the cold.

                              I have plans to double my garage to 48x30. When I pour the floor in the new section, I want water lines to heat the floor. Probably will never happen, but I can dream.
