    Painted Today (pics)

Well lets just say my "Jeep RUNS well now". It was my first time ever painting a car so all you purest out there im sorry it had to be on a Wagoneer. But I must say I trully enjoyed it and can't wait to do the inside tomorrow. I do have a lot of runs but what can I ecpect for my first time. I would do it again in a second.

I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that I always allow each student one free pass in my classes. The bad news is that you have now used yours for this class. Doug

what type of paint did you use? is it a base coat clearcoat system, or a 1 stage enamel, or even laquer? if it is a 1 part system which i am assuming it is, then you dont need to respray. wet sand the runs out with 1500 then sand them again with 2500 or 3000. after that buff it all shinny with some good rubbing compound. as far as how long to wait it should say somthing on the paint cans. but as long as the tempature is around 70 or higher you should be good in 24 hours.

Protect yourself with a better 'paint respirator' next time...
Otherwise it's looking good. Always a great feeling to get her done, it's that initial prep work that always drove me nuts..
