    Resin Cherokee S emblem replicas

I love the Cherokee S emblem on our Fenders and want a copy for my desk at work and probably another one for tool box. I ordered a silicone mold making kit and am going to make a couple copies.

Would anyone else want copies made to help offset the cost of the supplies? I am thinking $15 shipped would get you an unpainted resin Cherokee S emblem...

Poured the mold last night and it looks pretty good. I hope to pick up the resin this week and hope to have the first cast poured by early next week.

Ok, the first 5 emblems have been cast. I get the first one for my desk. I will post pictures this weekend of the others and an out the door cost if anyone is interested in buying some. I'm not looking to make a profit, just break even on supplies for this project. My mold has held up well and I can cast more if these all sell.

OK, here is the first casting. They came out pretty awesome. They are an exact match of my emblem. If you look at it in the light you can see the scratch in the white paint even transferred (its directly in front of his face). Once painted it will not be noticeable. The black specs are dust that I didn't notice when I took the pictures; there are no contaminates in the resin.

These are great for fridge/tool box magnets, to hang on your wall, etc. I am not sure how long they would last if you painted them and stuck them on your rig. I am not saying they would not last; I just don't know.

I am painting mine right now and will post pics when I am done. Steps to paint:
            1) Paint the whole emblem in metallic silver and let it dry completely
            2) paint the whole emblem satin black and rub the black off around the edges and the indian's face to reveal the silver underneath and let it dry completely
            3) Paint the white by hand

$15 shipped for one, $25 shipped for 2. When I send them I will include some large/close up pics of a NOS emblem so you can see them as they were delivered from the factory. I am not trying to make a bunch of money on these, just hoping to cover the cost of the mold and resin. I am putting HUGE pics on here so you can get a good look at them. PM me if interested. I have 5 ready to ship right now.

oh, that's COOL! I want some. But, that'll have to wait.
Hey, how big are they? I've never seen a Cherokee up close that had these on it, so I don't know how big around they are in inches.

they're 4.5 inches from the bottom of the S to the top of the emblem and 3/4 of an inch thick. These are seriously some of the coolest emblems every made for any car. That's why I wanted one for my desk but the originals are going for big bucks these days.

Haha! I'm not that skilled! I could do the glovebox emblem and that could work on/in an ear gauge.

These emblems are really cool, I received the two that I ordered and they look awesome! My plan is to paint mine as well, and then figure out a cool project to put them on. I was thinking of maybe finishing a nice piece of hardwood and doing a slight inlay for the emblem to rest in. Then I could mount it someplace around the house, or in the garage. I think it'll be a neat project. Thanks for making these!

                        I want some

I was wondering how much you charge for a pair of those and also the material they are made of would it hold up to being incorporated in the interior of the vehicle or would it be too hot

$25 for the pair mailed to you. I am pretty sure it would hold up to interior heat. I will put one in my oven tonight at 200 degrees and see what happens.

Ok, I baked them at 200 degrees for 20 minutes. They did not distort or lose details and survived unscathed!
