I'll trade you a good dome light lens for the completely wrong size lens that just arrived today.

So either GM part # 8780507 is just way too small or I got sent the wrong part. What I received certainly looks like what's in the pics, so I will say this GM lens does NOT fit our housings at all.
Not only does what I received not fit width-wise (aka right and left), but it doesn't even come close to the 4 notches fitting front to rear as the lens is just too tiny to even fill in the gaps.

So, back to square one, does anyone have a spare lens they can sell me??

I did a bit more research and looks like the proper part # is Part # is J3234114:

Going to call some parts places and see if anyone else has a new one.

HUZZAH, THE SEARCH IS OVER AND I'VE FOUND ONE!

Well as luck would have it, I've been keeping in touch with a great local Jeep guy and he had a spare BJ's lens that he bought for an Eagle he no longer has, so $20 later I have the correct brand new lens.

Couple of pics below of how much larger the correct lens (in the wrapper) is compared to the GM lens that isn't big enough or shaped anywhere near close enough to work:

Just hope BJ's gets it back in stock at some point, or that someone has an extra. Could try asking on the facebook groups like "Full Size Jeep (FSJ) Enthusiasts" or others too.
