1997 Suburban center console

I salvaged this for my 79. $15. It is much needed and fits perfectly.

Now I need to find the cup holder that is under the forward lid.

Your seats look alot like mine, I put some in from a Dodge Dakota, I also used a center console from a GM product, mine was from a Tahoe. There were holes already in the bottom. I used a couple of heavy short self tapping screws and it's rock solid. Good job and nice find!

You can take it apart and put in the dish washer. (don't tell the wife)
The lid has a vinyl cover that can be taken off. They did this because the
lid and body textures did not match. Its made of ABS so you can paint it any color.

There is a cup holder that fit were the CD holder is.

i used a console from a 95? tahoe
more square than the one you have in photos

they both work and fit well.

i have found you can dye the entire thing to match
with S.E.M. dye or equal product.

I am still on the lookout for the apparently uber rare cup holder option for my center console as seen in the below pic. Someday........

When I found mine, I had to use parts from several consoles. One had a good base, another a lid that wasn't broken, and another had the cupholder. FYI, under the cupholder is a great place to hide things!
I used plastic paint to paint mine black. It's held up well....Del

After almost 2 years, I FINALLY found a cup holder for my center console. The only insert I ever see for this style of center console is the CD holder.

1994 Suburban center console

After a long search, I found a center console from a 1994 Suburban. Other than the missing locking latch and all the dirt, it cost me $15.

Everything is painted and ready for reassembly. The two case halves required lots of repair with two part epoxy. It is pretty much indestructible now.
