Somebody (cu4wheelin maybe) had their dash pad recovered in leather.

But yeah, the holes in the dash are patchable, as the original contoured metal dash is still basically unchanged underneath the dash pad.

I believe it was Sportside Dan who did his dash pad in leather.

If you hand carry the pad into an auto upholstery place shouldn't be too expensive. .Last one I had done a few years ago was $75, done w/vinyl not leather. It's a real easy piece to recover. If I were to do it again I'd buy the material do it myself.

I am planning to use a '60s dash in Levi; no need to worry about the dash pad. Got it free. I figure, why not? lol

I modified the early dash (inspired by a member named Towtruck who did similar) for the SuperChief.

Here are the two FSJ for my daily driver project. The drivetrain (Buick 350/TH400/D20) plus EFI from the '70 (Elroy) is swapping into the '89 (Elwood) along with a front D44 from a third unseen Waggy. The '89 is going to be dewooded, the dash, console, bumpers, trim, etc from the '70 are going in and on the '89 to give it a

Our dash pad is in really good shape, except it sags in the front so the ash tray on the driver's side won't open. It doesn't easily push out of the way - anyone else have this happen?
