    Supporting Cat Converter Air Tube

If I delete the air injection tubes, how do I support the Cat Converter air tube? I was thinking about re-using the banjo bolt and jbweld the holes closed using high temp jbweld putty. Would this work ok or how have others done it? Thanks for your help.

Just remove the tube and cap/pinch off @ converter.
Makes no sense to keep it if deleting air pump junk.

I thought the cat needed the air so I was going to leave it.

Most modern CATs do just fine without air injection.
Many universals come w/o a port for air.
Any that do come with a port it is usually already capped off.

If it was me I'd just yank it all

Except, my cat is not exactly modern-probably 15-20 years old at least. Does this change anything?

              If it's a 3-way cat(likely) it'll do just fine without air injection.
Major differences in a 1980-ish CAT vs 2000-ish+.
Original 80s OEM CATs used on these weren't great.
But nobody can really tell you what kind of shape your current one is in.

Also, the engine "tune" has a huge impact on lifespan
Some last 100-200k some last 50k and some only a few years.
