I would not be too quick to rule out a factory color. There was a different blue metallic ofered by Jeep in 1974, '75 and '76. In '74 it was Jetset Blue Poly (very popular), and in '75 and '76 it was Medium Blue Poly, but each of those years have a different formula.

If you wanted a lighter metallic blue, you could buy a quart of silver and lighten any of the blue colors to what you want.
