    Air noise

I've tried to figure where this air noise is coming from. I just finished the rebuild of the driver's side door, in hopes that it was from that. But, no success.

Is anyone familiar with air noise from the lower driver's side of windshield?

Could be from behind the instrument cluster, but it's literally right at the edge of the dash (while moving hand around I can hear location.

For tough to find ones we used to cover suspect outer areas with tape.
    When the noise goes away...

Areas to look are fresh air vent(s) or cowl seams leaks for what you describe.

Mirrors, panel gaps, trim sticking out, weatherstripping, all of them can cause noises too.
Due to the box on wheels and lack of aerodynamics, these things tend to make a lot of noise.

None of the gaps made any difference.

I'm going to try pulling the windshield and resealing.

Check where cowl meets body way up under dash?
1/4" gap there from factory where seam sealer dude missed the joint on one I had.

I was going to suggest that. If I remember correctly it was a big blob of bondo like stuff that maybe fell out.

I made some plugs out of 1/8" ABS and glued them in with urethane seam sealer.

For this location, what's the easiest way to access it?

Through the heater intake hole on the passenger side. I cut a matching hole on the driver side. I don't think you can get up in there otherwise.

What about the missing antenna hole?

Antenna plug is in, and WTF?!? How the ***K and I supposed to get up there. Certainly not cutting a hole in the firewall.

Maybe pull the cowling off and access from there?

If on driver side gotta lay on your back with head stuffed as far against firewall possible.
Shine a good light up there and you will see the body seams/sealer they used. a gap will be obvious.
Alternatively remove cluster and check things out.

passenger side AC unit has to be dropped.

you can buy cheap usb lighted camera too and use one of those.

I bought one of those $20 flexy cameras on a “snake” from Walmart. Came in handy searching for where stuff was under the counter.
