    HEI Distributor

Looking to upgrade to an HEI distributor on my wag, anyone have any suggestions of whats a good one to go with without breaking the bank? I dont need the best of the best high end performance one, I just need something that isnt going to crap out on me and is reliable, thanks in advance for any input

Haven't put too many miles on my Skip White HEI. Cheap enough. Do a google search for AMC chewed distributor gears. You can not mis match the gears. I reused the gear from my old distributor onto my new HEI.

HEI from ZM Jeeps. One of the best swaps I ever did. It now has over 100K on the swap and have never had an issue.

That is the Mallory brand. We have two and I am very happy with them.

This is what I put in, You will have to drill it to put you gear on the end, not to hard, just pull the top off first so you can push the top all the way down.

Mine is a 1978 Wagoneer, It might be different then yours. Good Luck and Happy New Year

I'm running the Mallory, the only problem so far was the original rotor was letting spark ground through it to the dizzy shaft. I put an msd rotor on it but the advance weights hit the inside of the rotor, and don't allow them to advance fully.
