    Cruise control indicator light?

    Hi everyone,
just added the factory cruise control to my 86 J10 and have it working perfectly now with lots of help from some great posts on this site. I have one final thing I still wonder about, shouldn't there be a light on the dash cluster that lights up when the cruise is engaged? If the truck didn't originally have cruise did the cluster not have this indicator or is it still there and just somehow needs to be hooked up? Not a big deal but I am kind of picky about having things done how they were originally and I would like to add it if possible.
Anyway, my question is should there be a light on the dash the comes on when the cruise is engaged?
    Thanks

    Jeff

My 88 gw has the factory installed cruise control. Love it, use it all of the time. But there is no indicator light. I do not know if it is just not working or if it does not exist. It sure would be helpful though.

You will know the cruise control is on when you remove your foot from the accelerator and your speedometer needle doesn't drop like a rock.
