Attention everyone who bought one of my firewall pads

I discovered something on the firewall pad set I make and sell. I reproduced the pad exactly as the factory did with a little better stuff. I found that the Christmas tree fastener up on the top left side above the gas pedal needs to be seated several notches more than the others. I turned on the wipers and the linkage rubbed the pad and made noise. Carefully landing the fastener in farther should pull the pad tighter to the firewall and clear the linkage. The pad has the exact dimensions as original so I know it is not an issue with an incorrect reproduction. The instructions will get updated before the next pad set leaves my hands. But I needed to mention this.

If you already have just about everything installed already, the remove the drivers side ashtray, warm the fastener on the engine side with a heat gun or hair dryer, and carefully smack the christmas tree fastener head with a 1/2 wooden dowel or metal rod from inside the cab. You will see it back there.

I made none of the parts I sell before my rebuild. There will be things to learn. This fortunately is not a big deal.

That is all. keep on Jeepin...

I am going to bring this up to the top once or twice for a chance at being seen by folks that have them. Then it can go away down the list. Thanks for being patient.

Didn't know you where making these. Do you have a website or sales post?

No not yet. You are the second person today to ask me that. I had envisioned a post in the vendor area describing what I have been making. With pictures.
I had it in mind to finish the build I am doing before spending a lot of time manufacturing stuff to send out the door. I am getting ready for it though. I suppose I had better step it up a notch.
