As stated in another post,my truck got t boned recently and totalled. The other guy stated that I was changing lanes into his when he left the stop sign(not true) and hit me.The rollback driver, who has delivered many a dead AMC product to my home handed me a disposable camera and told me to get pics of the stream of trans fluid running straight down the road(not changing lanes).Good advice as it saved me in this @#%#@ fight with State Farm.I suggest a disposable camera and a very regular batch of snapshots and recepts on your vehicle to have PROOF of condition ect BEFORE an accident happens. They had the nerve to offer me $6k for a 2004 ram 3500 4x4 4dr dually.Heck, the Cummins engine on a pallet on Ebay is $7500.Just a thought that might save you in a fight on one of our older, yet dearly loved old trucks.I happen to keep VERY good records. And by the way,I will NEVER have State Farm again(the other driver was State Farm also)
Something to think about

HMMMM
Maybe i'm not following
I think value of the vehicle might be contested if it was leaking tranny fluid before impact. If it wasn't leaking before impact then how did it show you didn't change lanes?

If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

I'm glad you are standing up to them! I had my insurance license in NM and worked for State Farm so i've seen how sour it can turn.

If it was an FSJ, there would be PLENTY OF PROOF of direction BEFORE impact! LOL!
Pictures at the incident site have saved my butt, too. No matter HOW nice the other driver is, ALWAYS DOCUMENT. This helps when the driver changes their story after the fact.
Whenever safe, take pictures BEFORE the vehicles are moved. Some states mandate that you move out of the way of traffic ASAP, however.

It scattered trans fluid because the transfer case got ripped off the back of the trans when the driveshaft got wedged sideways when the rear differential got dislodged from the rear springs. like the domino effect.1968 M715,4bt/46rh/205 with KP60/14HP going in any day 1980 j10 short box 1998XJ
