If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

Like mentioned above, I have used poly on race cars and didn't care a bit about resulting harshness, because precise handling is everything, and removing unnecessary bushing flex is just one more point where you locate your suspension precisely. On GW, I automatically went with poly when replacing springs all the way around. Results: noisy and harsh without any discernable benefit. My brother makes fun of me when we go hunting because he can hear when I come off the mountain from a mile away. I know he's telling the truth because he texts me to ask me to keep it down! I will look into the grease-able bolts, though. Maybe I can sneak up on him next fall.

I got it at 80K miles in 2005, currently 130K miles.

I voted rubber. I have poly bushings on my CJ and they lasted only 4 years before they were worn through and had to be replaced.
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer.

I did a 50/50 split on my waggy. I used all poly up front in the springs and shackles but used the rubber bushings in the rear to keep the ride a little nicer since there isn't near as much weight in the back end. Overall ride is very nice just need to source some greasable bolts for the front since its starting to get squeaky.

I have poly in my Z as well and didn't matter as it a rattly car out of factory. The GW is poly as well and I hate the noise.

                  Thanks for this!

Are any of these interchangeable with the Shackle bushings? I guess I could pull them out of the Honcho and measure them but I'd like to have all the parts before tearing into it.

                  Thanks,

Trucks get rubber, cars get poly. Easy day.

                      greasable bolt

All you have to do is drill bolt and put grease fitting in .Done many .I have skyjacker springs and you cant get rubber bushing that size so poly in front and rubber in rear .
