Anyone ever had their catalytic converter, radiator, and alternator all fail on the same day? Well, after many years of relatively trouble-free FSJeeping, that's what happened to my '88 last Saturday! I was pulling out of my driveway and heard a rattle in my exhaust. Got under the truck and the cat was rattling and buzzing. Major bummer because I just swapped this cat a week ago in preparation for my upcoming smog check...
Well I was running late and didn't have any other vehicle I could drive (my other truck has transmission problems at the moment
). Got to where I was going and notice that my 5-year old brass/copper radiator from BJs offroad is dripping on the ground... Pinhole leak in the bottom corner.
Well the leak wasn't too bad and it was running normal temps so later that night I topped of the radiator and drove home. On the drive home, my lights suddenly went dim and i look down at my voltage gauge and I'm in the red. I barely made it home on battery power...
All in all not the finest day for my Jeep or my wallet.
