OT 351w with GT-40 (or 40p) heads

I know its not jeep but I am putting it in my Cherokee, the 351w. Its a non-roller block, 93 I think. Found a set of GT40 and 40p heads in a local junk yard, which one would be better then the stock heads. Not really looking for huge hp, just want better breathing engine.


If I go GT40 or(40p) heads, keep the non roller cam/lifters or do the retro fit to the roller rockers


Also don't know if I want to try and rebuild the MPFI using the Explorer upper intake or just get a 650 Holley with a Edelbrock duel plane 4 bbl intake. Or use the cheby TBI set up I got. I also found a 80's ford LTD with the 5.0 and a real low upper intake.

i grabbed gt40 heads when given choice between 2 @ local yard.
the ‘p’ heads have weird plug angle and many posts of interference issues
eventually the 5.0 engine(from ‘90 mustang GT)will go in my ‘68 mustang.

think either work ~same just depends on exhaust setup.
I didn’t want any hassles so went with gt40.

brielly, Still have it, never finished wiring it up. Was going to put in my daughters 03 TJ but she wants to sell the TJ. I might just sell the stroker and all I have for it. I have always wanted to put a 351w in the Cherokee anyway.
