    New Member Introduction

    Hi, everyone:

I posted in the main forum but after seeing new member intros in the regional forums, I thought I'd re-post this here.

Anyway, Matt from Milwaukee here. Just bought an '82 Wagoneer Limited from Wagoneer World near Dallas and I am looking forward to being an active member of this forum.

Seems like this THE place for FSJ knowledge.

A bit about me, I am an electrical engineer and an inventor. I am also very into 1962 Pontiacs, vintage electronics and mid-century-modern architecture.

About our Wagoneer, it was originally dark blue, still has its original tan leather interior. Seems to have all the power options. It has manually-locking hubs (not selec-trac).

        Welcome from Winder Georgia!
You can teach what you know but you can only reproduce what you are.

It makes sense if you don't think about it.

          Hey, thanks guys!!

TECHNICALLY this Wag is my wife's...when I tell her how much I am digging it she says, "get your own!" Of course, I am the resident wrench, so she can't cant be too possessive!

Are there any FSJ shows in the Great Lakes area coming up this year?

            Welcome. from KY

I have a date of Sept 8-10 marked on my calendar as an AMC show. I believe it was not far from you. I'd have to go search the events section back around the first of the year I believe it was. Some of the guys from here were talking about it. I was going to make a weekend camping trip but will not be going now.

1985 J10 nothing special just a nice clean stock truck.

Welcome from Chicago. This site will be invaluable for maintaining your Wag.

Sounds like we would get along. I've been collecting and driving 1961 Chryslers for 25 years. We're not design or architecture geeks, but my wife and I love 50s/60s stuff in general.

Unfortunately, you just missed a string of AMC-heavy events in Kenosha last week and and a Mopar/AMC deal at Great Lakes Dragaway. I didn't go because I was at a Jaguar thing down here (yeah, have an E-Type, too.)

                Cheers,
                - Andy M.

New guy myself, from Chicago. Welcome. I have an '83 Limited about to undergo a 6" lift transformation to start things off. I have a '48 CJ2A that I built from a basket case, and it needs a big brother/tow vehicle.
