1990 grand wagoneer paint code

hello,

i need to know...
where to get the paint code for a 1990 grand wagoneer,...

i know it is on one of the plates embossed with numbers

just dont know which one and where on the tag to look.

please advise on what the number may start or end with
(in case there is a letter, etc indicating the beginning of paint code)

the wagoneer is white, so some of you may already know the code
for white on a 1990.
( this white seems to be regular white and not a pearl or ivory )

Look at the tag by the driver side hood hinge assembly. It's going to be a 3 digit code.

Oljeep helped me out when I was trying to find out mine, but my 90 was odd. According to the vin and paint codes, mine was coded like a 1991 model year, so you may have to look at paint codes for both years.

I don't know where you are going for paint, but if they show a list of paints per year that include the corrosponding paint code for that make/model of vehicles, write down all the codes for each year (90,91) that look like they could be your color. Then you can look at the tag, and 1 of those set of 3 codes will match.


Thats how i found mine. With how my paint looks, it could've been 3 different colors. I found mine to be the black cherry pearl coat.


Looking at a note I have on my computer stand here, the paint code on mine was in the bottom row, right above the vin number on that id tag.
