I am interested in installing some bright driving lights in the faux vent covers as well.
I can't stand anything "fake" even if factory intended.
There was alot of talk and pictures thread "pie plates" and I've searched but can't find.
Vascuez (sp) couldn't find member, did KC slimlites with some sort of trim ring that looked pretty good from the avatar picture I remember.
I've sent email to http://unityusa.com/Revised%20New%20...D%20LIGHTS.htm
But they don't have any surface mount lights, although they will build special order lights. At $500 each, I passed, hoping that I could find some junkyard car lights that would fit, but I don't go junkin enough.
I've even searched marine lighting as I've seen offshore boats that have flush mounted lights into fiberglass, but 1 billion hits come up. Motorcycle lights and same thing too many hits.

One light, two lights. Where does it stop Next you have so many lights hanging off the front you'll look like one of those mod scooters ala Quadrophenia

I went a different route with some signals from a Jeepster in between the headlight and faux panel. I still have some work to do filling in the old turn signals holes though.

I think the whole assembly off of the clip in the first pic would work best. It would look more natural as it would probably cover up the stamping highs/lows around the stock light & vent area.
For the two different sized headlights, IIRC someone put small sealed beams from a BMW in the faux vent holes?
I like'e the divorced style lights and keeping the factory indentions on the rino grill for the lights.
I've seen the CJ parking light installed in the faux vent cover but I was thinking about some bright lights and upgrade bulbs. Run a rely where it get signal power when factory high-beams were on.
That way wouldn't have to add a switch in dash.
anyone remember GBARRETT and see what pics of his looked like?
Is he still around? Guess I'll PM and see whats up.
I know that that regular headlight are a 7". Would a smaller 5" rounds light fit and work for the pie plates? I am going to be running a Razor grill I want to add asome Off road light in the pie plate hole under the grille.
What size lights replace the pie plates?
