Those AN fitting adapters attach into the fittings you are lacking. They go from the saginaw style to AN:

They are extraordinarily hard to find and worth their weight in gold almost.

Well... that sucks to know... How about the Trans-Dapt adapters for TBI's with spacers? Will those take the place of the ones I'm looking for? ('nother $30 part...)

The picture of the Summit part looks a lot like the Accel fittings I used in mine. I may just order a set to see how they fit. As you can see, those fittings on my manifold don't have a whole lot of room:

If that summit part replaces the factory adapters and the Accel fittings, I would have a lot more clearance.

I can always return them if they don't work.

I'm really curious about the summit part since it seems like that's the right thing. I don't like losing out on shipping when I have to send wrong things back though. I think I'll be calling dealers tomorrow to see if I can get them that way. That's really strange to have a fitting that is so obscure! It almost makes me want to do something to change the thread to a regular pipe thread or do some other mod to make them more common.

Here's a rather dumb question: Can't you just pull the fitting out of the throttle body, and use some pipe thread fittings?

Those fittings have gaskets built into the end. Regular pipe thread fittings won't seal properly.

I'm getting more and more tempted to do something like that. I don't have any fittings in the back of the TB though. Just to clarify, this is what mine looks like:

Sorry for the image size... I borrowed the image from BustedJeep.com.

Take a look at the other picture of a TB I posted, and those are the fittings I wish I had. As near as I can tell with my only set of thread gauges, it's something with a ~20 thread/inch thread pitch or a similar metric thread pitch. Unfortunately, I don't have any metric thread gauges. I don't think it's a pipe thread either because there's an o-ring that seats against the step in the supply fitting area. I'm going to call dealers today and see what I can find out.

FYI the Summit part and the Trans-Dapt part are not correct parts for plumbing directly to the TB. They both need those adapter fittings I am missing (Per conversation with Summit's Tech people).

I cleaned my throttle body today so I thought I would take some pictures.

The one on the left is the stock fitting. The one on the right is the Accel fitting that goes into the stock piece:

If you look at them closely, you can see that they are roughly the same diameter but the thread pitch is way off and the engagement into the fiting is substantially different.

I really wouldn't mind finding some of those fittings that go directly from the throttle body style to AN. But where can those be found?

Those look to me like somebody took out the stock fittings and used a pipe thread with "similar enough" thread pitch and diameter. Check out how the return looks like it only has maybe 2-3 threads engaged.

Thanks for the pics of the Accel fitting vs. the TBI fitting!
