I still have some finishing touches to do, but it is pretty much done.

I made the chain part up at the local hardware store. The covers were off ebay, I think they were listed for a Chevy or GMC. I may have had to cut them down on the length. I kept them long enough to not let them swing and have the chains hit the tailgate area.900 plus pictures not in any order taken during restoration. I like the look maybe I should not order box side but take the box off the 59 willys pick-up and do the thrift side thing..
but if I were going to change the box I would make it this way i think.. I realy like it..
this guy is a customer of mine. he bought a 4.0L for his 96 xj from me...
he drives the jeep as his dd... he is going to drive the xj for the summer and put an auto in the j10... he said he is gitting older and does not like to shift...
I realy like the look of it compaired to the thrift sides....JEEP Why did they make so many??? I just don't have the time to buy them all...LOL

Tonka made me the reproduction valve cover sticker. It is perfect. Not a great shot because of the reflection. I think most old Thriftsides were inline 6's.900 plus pictures not in any order taken during restoration. (Plus a couple of assorted pictures that down loaded.)

I'd be inclined to agree with that.
They're called THRIFTsides for a reason. Mine especially so, I don't think it has a single option on it. Manual brakes, manual steering, no radio...etc.

I've had a sport side and a thrift side, and as much as I loved my sport side I think the thriftside is better looking. Way more industrial looking, and you don't have to worry about easily damaged fiberglass fenders.
Here is a pic of my 63 8' Thriftside. The bed matches the cab under the house paint.

Thought so. Guess that means somewhere, J10/J20 Thriftsides exist.
Mine has a passenger sun visor, guess the original owner was a high roller!'10 Chevy Silverado 5.3L - The DD.
