I agree with Willie, it was a blind curve that lead to a cliff. Looking back, it was again one of those situations that reminds you that the scene could have been a lot worse. It still amazes me how strong these FSJ's are in terms of holding up to these types of situations. Great group of FSJ folks there that kept a cool head and kept the situation from escalating. The extraction wasn't all that tough. Change a tire, start her up, and winch her out. Phoebe was one heck of a great jeep!

I truly hope Luna is just out there running around waiting for you guys to find her. We spent the better part of Sunday out searching. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

wow! I'm so sorry to hear this, but i'm glad that you all came out of it alive and mostly well. I hope the dog makes it home safely as well.

There will always be more jeeps, i'm just glad you all are okay.

and thank god for good friends to help out through this, sounds like there was a good number of you all there when it happened.

Yes, the Lord was with them.
The recovery of the Wagoneer went well with all the help. We checked it over, bump the starter and it turned without hitting anything so we changed the front tire [blow-out] started it up and with the help of Tad winch drove it out and to Ralph house believe it or not. It was one of my sad days. Some of us did stay all night ,and some of us went out the next hunting for Luna.

Thank you everyone. Especially you guys who were with us. Ya'll pulled together like a finely tuned EMT and recovery team. I was amazed when we got back from the ER to find Phoebe in the yard. I completely broke down when I saw her. She saved our bacon. I was simply stunned when I heard Jerry drove her home. She has lots of salvageable parts.

Glad y'all are ok. There is a reason for everything and I am glad that y'all are still with us.

I was going to PM y'all to ask how the engine ran. After the new cam install and long road trip. It's been awhile.

Hope y'all arrive back home safe and sound and find y'alls pooch

Glad you are alright - I am going to ensure to focus on the "safety" of all the things that I don't normally tie down in the cherokee after listening to how an "easy trail" turned dangerous.

                  I hope the pup returns.

glad ya'll are ok. I won't take my dogs with me anymore on trails as even when being careful and going slow, bad stuff can happen to the best and most experienced wheelers.

I hope ya'll find Luna, and please buy one of these if you or anyone else wheels with their dogs:

Glad you're ok, and I sure hope Luna shows up soon!

I love that the jeep drove away, that would have been adding insult to injury if it'd been DOA. Do keep us updated on how things go, please.

I think I might do a little safety inspection of my own the next time I think about going on trail.

Relieved to hear you're both fine. Concerned about Luna - hopefully she'll turn up soon and in good repair. If we can help in any way, please don't hesitate to ask. I'll PM our phone numbers just in case.

Wowsir....glad to hear everyone is ok. Sheet metal and Jeeps can be replaced....the soft parts inside can't. Sure hope you guys find Luna...we don't normally allow dogs on trailrides with us...but for different reasons...we had one jump out and start chasing a cow!
