    another 8 lug front question

I have an option to pick up a late 70's 3/4 ton chev truck. 4.10 gears, 14 bolt rear, 10 bolt front axle. my question is, will the outers fromt the 10 bolt work on my 44 front to make it a 8-lug? how 'bout high steer? I'm still spring under, but that could change any given weekend...
    thanks, kent

Yes, the outers on D44 and 10 bolts are the same. They share the same ball joints.

Slap the 8 lug outers on and call it good.
Please come on over to http://fsjnetwork.com/forum and have a look.

I agree. See signature for a link to a write-up on the parts and how to do it.

(This article was actually written using chevy 3/4 ton D44 but I would guess it is the same)
