Good news. IMHO you went about it the right way. Get it running first before throwing parts at it that may or may not be needed. Then in time you'll know soon enough what needs attention. Lot cheaper that way.

So far, Im in it for less than $200 and it runs and drives. Still a long way to go but at least I know its not a lost cause and I have a starting point!

Im amazed that thing was pushed out in the woods like that and it wasnt destroyed by rodents n things. And it started right up and drove!

Why do people push things out and let them sit in the woods like that? More so if it started right up and drives???

I was surprised that it was in that good of shape as well. The reason I was told is he pulled the headlights to use on another waggy. Makes sense since they are missing... But I never would have parked it

Because they want to entice folks later on! If everyone took great care of their rigs, there wouldn't be any cool stories like this one floating around!

I will get some better pics tonight. I spent two hours last night cleaning it, and only got half way done...... I have been driving it around the backroads here and other than a shimmy at ~25 mph it drives great. Need to get a header panel.... My hood flew up at about 45 mph, no fun

After working and scrubbing I got one side clean, but boy it sure looks good! Also got the ignition wired up.
