Every year has been great, big props to F&K and all the donors, both business entities and private.
What?!?! Anyone know what is going on here?

A box came this week with anonymous donation to the raffle. Estimate this is about $250 worth of loot.

...so the raffle responses were a little lacking and I did get discouraged after a bit. Oh well. Sign of the times with the economy. I saw that ECI was similar. We can make this draw a few bucks to give to OMR though.

So far, we have the loot pictured above and the following (will make updates here)
            • Tad - SOA/SF kit
            • Janie - Redneck Sportsman Tshirt, Midland Walkie-Talkies, 1/2" Husky ratchet socket set, S&W Knife, S&W Flashlight, Zippo Jeep Lighter
            • Jubilee Jeeps - 2 Ouray Tshirts, 1 L and 1 XL - 3 Quarts Mopar QT fluid (liquid gold)
            • Bryan & BethAnn - a campfire/grill blower tool, a nifty LED glowing Frisbee, and 2 sets of campfire color sticks. Mostly just fun stuff.
            • firecaptain13 - a couple pounds of gourmet coffee
            Got a Question:
We will be paying around $3 for gas. Better than a couple years ago when it was pushing $5. We realize a lot of you spend a fair amount of effort and money to get out here. I think we will sell raffle tickets for $2. How about a $10 minimum? That way we get at least 5 tix each. Hopefully that is affordable for everyone and it will toss at least a couple hundred in the pot for OMR (may we never need to call them)

Thank you all who contribute support for Ouray Mountain Rescue!

            Updated 7/10/10 with more details:
Raffle tickets will be $2 each with a minimum $10 worth so everyone who buys gets at least 5 chances.

That's great! Thank you, anonymous donor... I think $10 for 5 tickets is reasonable. Thanks for doing this again Flint!

Flint, the donations got me thinking...I got some stuff I can bring. Probably a couple more pounds of coffee...Seattle-area good stuff! I'm not willing to part with the tire carrier yet...but I'll come up with some other undisclosed items!
                          90 Grand Wagoneer, 401/727/229, TFI upgrade, MC4350 4V, Edelbrock Performer cam, All-Aluminum Radiator, Razor Conversion, 4" Rusty's all-spring, 31x10.50 BFG TA/KO's...much planned, little time/money, thus she's a PipeDream!
Status: Up and running, but needs attention....

Nice stuff so far! I was talking with the foreman of the crew working on repaving our circle, and he was from Ouray. Told him all about our history of donating to the Rescue and he was very impressed (even if we dont get that reaction from the frazzled store owners in town).

If we don't rescue lost people in the mountains, they'll have no good stories to go tell their friends back home!
