I have a policy of not thinking about this too much.
I will say that the vast majority has been parts trades and swapping and stuff I built myself.
Besides the initial price (I traded some Q-trac's inside it for it's initial brake work back in '01) I'd say...
      $1,500 cash
      $200 in steel/AL
      $700 in FedEx fee's
Not a lot really and it's worth slightly more than it was when it was the PushMobile.

this makes 27 years of these things, and I have spent way to much, but I voted the high number just thinking of the gas I've sunk into it the last year.

I should have clarified...gas and oil changes don't count

bought my 82 for 4650 and other than having the 727 rebuilt i havent needed to spend money on it. I have added HEI, a Mc2100, and a new exhaust as well as a number of small things. Im guessing Ive spent somewhere in the ~7000 range.

Well, since I took delivery on Dec 22, 1976, at just under 30,000 miles, $4500 in gas at an average $1.50 per gallon.

                    Original price $8420

                    Ziebart $161.

New radiator, new fan clutch, several batteries, one set tires and rims($600) Paint etc. $1000

                    Insurance and plates $39000

$1700 per year, and going down each year because now it only costs about $500 per year.

Or a$1.76 per mile and going up because I drive it less than 50 miles per year now.

You had to ask didn't you.

I am currently close to $3K out of pocket. I figure thats pretty good considering how well I am currently equiped.

Of course, there is WAY more money in it than that. The rest came from selling parts (A LOT OF PARTS) and T-shirts ...

I figure about $2800. It helps that my wifes boss gave it to me for free just to get it gone from her house. Pretty much everthing else has just been a couple bucks here and a couple bucks there accept for the part time conversion and t-case rebuild. No complaints at all, its been a blast to own and as I replace stuff there is less and less that is old and half broken so it gets cheaper every year.

i'm afraid to add it up until i'm done, or i'll loose motivation to keep going.

i don't cound sold parts, unless they were directly involved with the purchase. for instance, i bough a suburban as my engine donor for $500, scrapped the body for $240 so i have a complete engine/wireing harness/ECM for $260.

i haven't dropped a lot of coin on it, but all those little things i'm sure add up. my best guess, $3k.

All the parts that I sale are directly related to my build. I ONLY get parts rigs to raise money for my Chief. If I didnt have a project, I WOULD NOT be parting out other rigs. Its way too much work and way to big of a PITA to do it otherwise...
