        ..

Fifteen miles south of Ft. Worth Texas we are basking in snow flurries and it is 22° F at 3 pm.

The barbed wire fence between us and Laramie must have a strand down.

But it's the wind is always stronger here than the windy city of Chicago!

I'm not having a cool one today.. Don S..

-21 North of the Twin Cities, Minnesota this morning on my way to work. Had to turn the '04 Ram around and made it back to my driveway when the rack and pinion exploded.

We got down to 24 a few days ago and got 6" snow. Been 37 for a hi last 2 days and slight melt. Just enough to freeze again and make an ice rink out of the roads. Really rare for here to have ice and snow. Maybe every five years we get some snow. Most people can't handle this because no experience and summer tires so it makes a HUGE dangerous mess of things. We got not much for plows and its crazy black icy roads.

Raining this morning so back to normal. But is forecasted an inch of rain per day for the next 2 weeks solid. That means a hell of a lot of moisture headed inland and most likely tons of snow too. Prep.

I guess I should have warned y'all what was coming because if it freezes here it REALLY gets cold inland.

My brother and I were in Laramie at Wyo-Tech during the winter of 01-02, we had a spell at -30°. Coldest I've ever been, we couldn't start either of our Hondas. I thought it was so strange to be running around in a t-shirt when it finally got to 0°!
I couldn't get back to Texas fast enough when we graduated that spring.
We did get to 14° last night in Harper.
Off subject, does the Woods family still own the True Value? I worked for them for the year I was there.
                        Stay warm!

Yeah, every time it warms up to 0 degrees it starts to feel warm haha. And I don't know the family that owns true value but they haven't changed owner ship as far as I know. I usually go to ace because I get a discount there.

Yesterday was 14 in the morning, never got above freezing. This morning we got a 1/4" of ice then 4" of snow on top of it, now back to freezing rain. Supposed to get a low of around 37 tomorrow, but not getting much higher than the low 40's.

Matt was right though, people out in it drive like they are on crack. I've been watching them go by the shop at 40-50 all morning.

It was 70 and sunny yesterday in SoCal. TOday it was low 60's and overcast.

Then I remember our Smog laws, Gun control laws, and the general political environment here and I shake my head wishing I was in a cold/snowy area that was not in California.
